What an account is #
An account on schoolaigovernance.co.uk is free. It keeps your school's details (the school and trust names and the role titles that templates ask for) and the documents you have filled in or built, so that you can come back and carry on where you left off. Nothing on the site needs an account: every guide, template and the policy builder work without one, and always will.
The account is provided by [legal name], [address] ("we").
What we keep #
Your email address and name, from registration. Your school's details, if you enter them. The documents you choose to save: the answers you gave, the template or policy they belong to, and the version of the clause library they were built with. Nothing is saved unless you press Save. A record of what you download while signed in: which document, in which format, and when, so that your account can show you which of your copies are current.
We do not keep pupil data, and the templates are written so that you need not enter any. If you type personal data about a pupil or a member of staff into a saved document, you are its controller and should treat the saved copy as you would a file on the school's own system.
What we send #
Two kinds of email. First, messages about your account: confirming your address, a sign-in code, a change you made. Second, when guidance that one of your saved documents relies on changes, a note saying what changed and which document is affected, so you can update it. Each of those notes carries a link to stop them. We send nothing else, and we never pass your address to anyone to send you anything.
Leaving #
Delete your account from the account page at any time. Your saved documents and details go with it, and the record of your registration is removed from our systems within [30 days]. Deleting the account does not affect any file you have already downloaded.
Who helps us #
Sign-in is provided by Clerk, the saved data is held by Neon in London, and registrations are recorded in Attio, which we use to keep our own list of who has an account. Each acts only on our instructions. The privacy notice says where each holds data and under what safeguard.
Changes, liability and law #
We may improve the service, and if a change affects what we keep or send we will tell you first. The service is free and is provided as it is; our liability is limited to what the law does not allow us to exclude. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
