Terms for the staff course
What a school gets, what it pays, and how the data is handled. Plain terms for a plain product.

Who provides it #
The staff course, AI and your part in the rules, is provided by [legal name], [address] ("we"), through a course site run for us by Path Assess under the School AI Governance name.
What your school gets #
A version of the course built from your setup form: your tools by name, your named leads, and the assessed work module if you are an exam centre. Logins for every member of staff on your list, set up in one go. A certificate for each person who passes the check, with your school's name and a code anyone can verify. A completion record for your DSL and DPO. A refresh each September when the guidance changes, and a rebuild when you tell us your register or policy has changed.
Fees #
One yearly fee for the whole school, set by the size of your staff list: up to 60 staff, £249; 61 to 150, £449; over 150, £695. [Prices exclude VAT.] Trusts with three or more schools pay 15 per cent less for each school. Renewal costs the same as the first year. The first ten schools use the course free for a year in return for honest feedback.
Ordering and payment #
Your school raises a purchase order; we invoice on 30 days. Nothing is paid by card. Your version is ready within [five school days] of the completed setup form.
Renewal and cancellation #
The licence runs for twelve months from the date logins are issued. We write [six weeks] before it ends; it renews only if you tell us to. You may cancel at any time; fees for the current year are not refunded once logins have been issued [confirm].
Data protection #
Your school is the controller of its staff data; we and the course platform are its processors. A data processing agreement comes with every order and sets out what we hold (staff names and school email addresses, completion and check results, certificate codes), where it is stored ([location]), how long it is kept (for the licence period and [period] after, then deleted) and how you can have it returned or deleted. We never use staff data for marketing or to train any AI.
Certificates #
A certificate records completion of this course. It is not an accredited qualification and does not claim to be one.
Changes, liability and law #
We may improve the course during the year; the September refresh is included. Our liability is limited to the fee paid for the year [confirm]. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
